When Dino's were first delivered, they had a box that held the "owner's items" for the car. How many of these box's still are with their cars or still exist?

seeing as there has been no answer, is it that they aren't out there or that i did a bad job of asking the question?

I thought Tom Shaugnessy posted pics of an original tool kit (not Dino) at an event that had everything including a Ferrari box for the handbook that had images of workers working all over it. I tried a short search for it but came up empty handed. Is this the sort of box you are referring to?

Is this a box for u.s Ferrari Dealers? as I find it difficult to believe that the gear knob is in the box and all the ashtray parts and ecc...
I would ask Ferrari about it?
The box where everyone is working on pictures :I recall seeing it before but I am sure its not Ferrari.
I do not recall these box sets with the parts, but even if its true are we going to go crazy to buy carboard boxes?

I have seen both of the boxes before. The small grey box with the workers on it, contains the leather owners pouch (complete) which is wrapped in tissue paper.
The larger box is also an original. The mirrors, shift knob, ashtray parts etc. were possibly not installed on the car when it left the factory, especially for cars being shipped abroad, to prevent longshoremen from obtaining souvenirs. They were probably installed by the selling dealer, and once the box was emptied, it may have been trashed. Either way, very rare and very expensive to obtain originals today. It would be far cheaper (and quicker) to reproduce them.

I don't think that box is for a Dino. Where is Mr. Shaughnessy when we need him???

I think that those boxes went with a VERY original and unmolested daytona!

Sure, I just paid big bucks for an original cardboard box for a rare tin model I have. The value for that item with an original box is doubled.

When I first read the title, I thought it meant owners were delivered in boxes. Maybe there should be an apostrophe there somewhere, too. English is not my 1st language.

But on the subject, those boxes and tags are great. l wouldn't mind buying a reproduction box. I'd buy one. The tags too.

Very interesting. Thanks for pointing them out, Shawn.

    Best,

    Andres
