Keith Richards Dino for Sale?

That FB is a bit disconcerting.

 

From Doug's partner at Berlinetta. He said it is for sale, and that Richards took a lot better care of it than he did himself. I wonder what it would cost to have a Classiche restoration of Richard's face?

One thought... Keith Richards owned one, James Coburn owned one.. these are two exceedlingly cool guys. Who else owned one??

 

A thorough search of the car may turn up some 'brown sugar' increasing the value of the purchase ;-)

i wonder if could be as cool as sonny driving up to impress cher (or it could have been cher trying to impress sonny - i don't know if i want to be in that wagon)

 

Evidently Sonny needed traction control on the slopes and his boards didn't handle like the Dino.

I'll stick with Coburn and Richards and try to blank Sonny & Cher out. I wonder if Robert Wagner owned the Dino in the TV clip on youtube. He was DEFINITELY a cool guy, though he's doing some sad TV commercials now.

Take my word, guys, the Sonny & Cher Dino was not particularly cool. I saw it at an FOC meeting one evening in the mid-seventies in Inglewood, CA, a suburb of LA. It was Powder Blue with white curly pinstriping . . . a lot of white curly pinstriping. Chances are Cher had the say on the paint job! Sure wish I had a photo.

Was £100k a few months ago. Foskers have just gone POA on the 246GTS they've had for £119.5k since August 07. Signs the market might have peaked?

 

or signs it hasn't. those asking prices are much higher than the asking prices for similar cars here in the us and the dollar is weak.

i have never understood the "poa" approach to marketing a car unless it is truely a unique or very rare car. it does, however, allow the dealer to be more flexible in reacting to market pricing when advertising, especially when the prices are perceived to be on the way up

Yes, I’m in England and it’s cold, wet & windy!! I have 4 Dino’s of which only one is a 206GT.
My 206GT, Chassis number 00152 was the very first 206gt officially imported into the UK by Maranello. It was also owned by Eric Clapton. I have all the official paperwork from the Ferrari files some 30 pages+ from invoices through to its sales Invoice to Eric Clapton.
The car is currently being restored by the best in the business. It will be ready by June this year & will be showed at the Ferrari concourse in July. If it doesn’t win I’ll eat my hat!

The car is very original except for its petrol cap which is a shame. I am desperately trying to find another, any ideas? The only option being is to have a mould made from an original one.

If i decide to buy the new dino (if it looks like the one we have seen on sneak previews) then i am going to pull up wearing tatty jeans and ask to test drive one!!!

I believe Keith Richards old Dino finally returned from Japan back to Europe and will be on auction in Monaco 09th April 2014 during the Historic Grand Price there!
