    Hi All,
Can anyone tell me a good replacement for the Michelin XWX 205 70 VR 14 that looks and performs well on the street. I just got a price of 468.00 each for the Michelins but I think thats bordering on ridiculus. Thanks for any input.

Thanks for all the advice. I agree the Michelins do look the best but I think I'll try the Vredsteins.

    Peter,

I work at Coker, I can get you the Michelins for $390.71ea. Still alot, but it's better than retail. Not sure what clover leaf sells the Vredesteins for, but I can get them for you guys for $210.93ea. Figured I'd let you guys know.

Dave -- The ad with your car in it is still be best we've ever had IMO.

Are you ever going to run that ad again? I think it would look great in National Magazines!

    Jerry.

Have you met the NEW owner of 04798??? Uro bought the car from me in January. I still stand by my recommendation on the XWX. Looks great on the car, and if you get seven years out of them, and most of us should you're talking about $280/year in tire costs if you buy 5. Not really all that much considering what we pay in maintenance, right?

URO - behave yourself. Don't you have a prostate to exam or something?? A droopy or drippy pecker to adjust?? Something????

    Hi Jerry,
What are the production dates on the Coker XWX tires?
    Shipping costs to 98008?
    Thank you

I'll get the dates on the 205/70VR14's for you, the last check I did was in Jan and they were the 12th week of 2007. I'm sure we've gotten more in though so they may be newer. Shipping would be $16.60per tire.

    I'd say!

You need to run it in Road and Track, C&D, Automobile, all of them!

Goodyear has the Fulda Assuro in that size...I run them on my 308s...price is somewhere between the sumitomo and the Michelins..even with outrageous airfreight costs....

I guess you have to decide between Vintage appearance and a more modern gatorback tread, as I did....

The production dates are 01/08 and 02/08, so they are brand new tires.
