Seeing as we have quite a few new folks here, I thought it would be a fun trip down memory lane to talk about the items that came with a Dino when new....

Most of these can be searched, but seeing as many people here don't even know about this "JUNK", why would they serach for something like this?

Once you have found the Dino that's right for you, finding the ACCESSORIES.....Well, that is another challenge....

Below are a couple of things from back in the day that you would find with a NEW Dino when originally sold.

Please feel free to add to my list if I have overlooked something

    Toolkit
    Jack
    Wheel Chock
    Emergency Triangle
Side view mirrors (let the fun begin with this one)
Cans of touch up paint (yes)
    License Plate Frame
Owners Manuals in a Leather Pouch (AND all the GUTS)
Keys (Neiman Ignition, SAFE Door AND You GTS guys, you have to have a Y.Y key to be legit)
    Keyfob
Emergency Window Crank (for the power window guys)
Emergency soft top (for later GTS guys)
Seat Covers...aka Beach Seat Covers (Once again, a GTS thing, and yes, they do exist)
GTS Top stow away cover (for behind the seats)
Fender Covers for maintenance (more of a dealer item, but....)
    Radio Delete Plate
GTS Locking Bar for securing Releases

These items varied over the years and some have different versions from different manufacturers.......

    A few more,

    Small plastic bottle containing oil for the air horn compressor, stored in a small cardboard box (replicated by Parker Hall);

Two rubber bands which helped with the removal of the original FIAMM battery; and

According to the 206 and early 246 Spare Parts catalog, a Pirelli belt for, I believe, the alternator.

There also seemed to have been at least a few factory-installed radios.

A Pirelli alternator belt is shown for 206GT through 246GT-L and a Continental belt for later cars in the spare parts manuals but I've seen a Continental with one late L. User manuals show a subset of tools (missing triangle and belt for early cars), so who knows...?

I have found the following pictures on Kerry Chesbro's website, so both copyrighted to him. The oil bottle and box are original ones (both available as reproductions from Parker Hall I believe) and the belt cover on the right is a reproduction by Parker.

don't think the oil bottle was supplied with dino. 275 may be the last car to get oil bottle with delivery of car

I am not voting one way or the other, but early 206's shared factory life with 275's.

Later, more normal years of Dino production, didn't have these bottles.

if the oil bottle was supplied, it might be shown in the tool kit description.

I do not think there is a link between toolkit and the availability of an oil bottle. I looked at the thread showing copies of the pages of various user manuals, including those of car that we would all agree had a FIAMM oil bottle, and none of those pages had an oil bottle in it. I think it fell into the client service bucket, together with the small can of extra paint or a key fob, as opposed to necessary for repairs. But, then, I am hardly the expert, so any "official" views would be welcome.

Agree with Maeter, I looked though all the 206/246 Dino manuals before 1972 and none show an oil bottle in the tool kits.

My 1972 Dino GTS chassis number 04000 (which we just purchased from the original 94 year old owner) has a Xiconex Weather Sentry. I have no idea what it is and when I try and research it on the Internet there is no such entry.

Only seen one, and certainly, it contained explanations to its high reliability...
It would be nice to post photos of all the items, although I am aware, they are on Matthias's book.

    Regards, Alberto

I think the clock tag has far outlived almost every clock in functionality...

Never heard of that. It seems like something most likely added by an original owner. I would ask her and see what she remembers. I would guess some dealer thing that they made decent margins on.

    Post photo's just for fun

Depending on year, a yellow Shell cloth or a yellow AGIP cloth came with the books.

The Shell version has logos screened on it, the AGIP version doesn't but came in a plastic bag with the logo.
