    I purchased this 206 GT back in 2006. At the time, it was in very poor condition. I am new to this forum, but have read many of the threads & marvelled at high quality of many of the restorations on both 206’s & 246’s in the US.

    What I haven’t yet seen are any threads on the detailed history relating to any of the cars. So, I thought I would share with you information on my 206’s history first, followed by photos of the restoration work later.

    why register it in modena and not in the name of the owner?
    also, was the price of a new 206 the same as a 275?

    Tried more than 15 times.

    I thought the images would be displayed in the thread rather than shown in a link. Can anyone tell me what I've done wrong? The pasted link works fine on other forums when viewed in a thread.

    Yes, the 206 was originally priced fairly close to that of a 275 but reduced prior to launch.

    The 206 was never destined for the UK market as Ferrari never thought that it would sell here in LHD form.

    Only 5 206 Dinos (all LHD) were imported by Maranello Concessionaires. 488 246 GT and 235 246 GTS Dinos were imported by them.

    Not according to the Maranello archive, which I was very kindly lent in its entirety (and I presume is the original source of the letters on here).

    There were 443 GT and 221 GTS in RHD drive imported by Maranello, but some were then re-exported to Australia and South Africa.

    Detail is hopefully attached on the spreadsheet by Chassis No.

    Hi, I think #05662 (Linton - Jersey, UK) Argento Auteil / Beige GTS is missing from that Maranello archive?
