I´m loking for good quality/fitting heat shields for my Nart-Dino #00306 No. 7, 12, 16 and 20 206 GT and L-series heat shields are the same. No. 12 and 20 can also be found on M- and E-series... What I have seen from DinoParts and Superformance isn`t perfect. Can anybody help? Regards Matthias Image Unavailable, Please Login
yes, pictures from front and backside would be great... also measurements in mm if possible and/or perfectly original reproductions.... regards Matthias
I'm also preparing fabrication of all the heat shields for my 246 L series and would very much appreciate some good pictures and / or drawings with all major measurements on. I have used the search function a lot and haven't found any good descriptions of the complete shield configuration for these early cars. Best regards Peter
I have some and missing some, for my L series. Let's pool resources and come up with a definitive list with dimensions and shapes. Regards, Alberto
It looks like the only diff between your No 16 and TAV13 No 2 for an M-series is the location of the bottom right mounting hole...everything else looks identical. Is that your understanding as well?
I have original 12 & 20 off the car which could be used to template and would like a high quality set of replicas for 7 & 20 (the two mounted on the exhaust systems). was planning to fabricate these but can't do anything until 2014.

Superperformance produces all five of the heat shields. Are they all lacking or are some of them pretty close? Exhaust Parts for Ferrari 206 & 246 - Superformance Their Driveshaft Heat Shield #20538 looks pretty close to original in their photo. Rivets on the Superperformance Alternator Heat Shield #300027 appear to be incorrect (and likely no interior insulation.
I stillhave my old ones but need to recover with some sort of heat resistant material....what does one use nowdays ?? and where to buy in EU
I bought some material you mention for the exhaust of an Alfa. But then, I do not know what the stuff was made of, most likely asbestos, but then of course we do not have any laws concerning that stuff, or possibly they have passed something to that effect. I am certain there has to be something you can use in EU. Regards, Alberto
This thread was a great help for me to identify a part that came with my car which I wasn't sure where it went. Well I find it's a heat shield. Specifically number 16. Which brings me to my question. This piece has only one tab that is riveted to it. Mine is broken off. Can someone get me a length for this piece and the size of the hole that is in it. I know the width due to the tab left on the heat shield itself. Also, Mine heat shield still has a finish which looks original. It is black with the similar wrinkle paint like what is on the steering column. Does this sound correct? Thanks.
Tavola 12, Item 16 is a nut. I'll bet you mean 6 Note: always makes it easy on the viewer to post an image from the parts book when asking questions. I know you have a parts book, I gave it to you at the Dino party last week! See attached Image Unavailable, Please Login
According to your drawing I meant #2. The largest one. I'll take a picture of it tomorrow and post it. Thanks. I should have referenced the book Dario
Here are the pictures of my shields. You can see in the first picture the tab that is broken. Also is the finish on the backside of shied original? Any help will be appreciated. Dario Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dario, The heat shields on my E series cars had the same finish and it was restored on them. Here are the shields on the engine on #03050 before it went back in the car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
