    Hi all,

I'm in serious trouble and in need of help from the forum! The speeder cover for my early 246 L series was lost during shipping from my upholster and I don't even have a proper picture of it to make a replica from. I believe it's a small box like piece of bent aluminum covered with zebra vinyl If my memory serves me right. The only evidence I have from the speeder cover is a picture of the original vinyl cover. I would very much appreciate If someone coould display some pictures or maybe a small sketch with measurements that I can produce a new cover from.

    Best regards

    Peter

Peter I think you will find this is an item specific to the L Series. The M Series and later cars have this area molded into the fiberglass of the floor. I am however certain that with your masterful abilities to manufacture things that an out of focus photo shot from 100m away will still give you all the info you need to make a perfect reproduction.

Thanks for the information....yet another special L series / 206 part. I found below picture using the search function and it indicates that the cover was made in fiberglass?

Got a call from Luppi this morning.....He found my pedal cover under a pile of boxes during workshop cleaning prior to his usual one month summer vacation. Kudos to all that helped me out and not the least to Alberto who offered to make me a repro cover.

Yes they for sure makes life a bit more colorful....-:) With all due respect Luppi actually promised to make me a new cover recently, if he could gain access to a original cover to copy. And that's even without any prove that the cover was lost in his workshop. So it's fair to say that I have been very pleased with the Italien service and also the quality.
