door lock gasket

I found the best way is to buy round flat rubber washers at Home Depot. Just use an exacto knife and cut the center out to fit the lock. Fits perfect and looks original.

 

I'm helping Danny tighten his door lock.
A question for the Dino population - Have you see Dinos with something between the door surface and the chrome ring that surrounds the door key cylinder?

He has found one black on the opposite side but nothing on the passenger.
I have also seen a white used.

Looking at The Dino Restoration site is the helpful view of that white piece which is on the backside as a washer for the nut while the chrome lock surround piece on the outside sits directly on the rubber.
Correct?
