These wheels are hard to come by and can be expensive. Be aware that this one advertised on eBay is IMPROPERLY RESTORED so careful not to believe the ad:

Dino 246 Ferrari Original Momo Steering Wheel | eBay

Also I have held this wheel in my hands and the workmanship is not top rate either. Caveat Emptor!

Best of luck in your search

    Dear Carlo,

as you can see at my Classiche Certificate, my car has the correct steering wheel but is marked as incorrect in the ceritficate. So if yours have the 'right' incorrect wheel, maybe you will get a pass!? ;o)

As Matthias indicated, "L" series Dinos had one of two types of steering wheels, depending on when they were built. The early "L" series Dinos had a wood Momo steering wheel but sometime in 1969, they switched to a leather Momo steering wheel like the one in the pictures supplied by Hawkeye.

So if Carlo has a 1970 "L", it should have the same steering wheel as the one in Hawkeye's photos.

    Cheers,

    Keith

Keith, I am only curious as to minor details, on the leather wheels, such as the stampings front and rear, stitching at the spokes, etc.
MOMO had a funny way of sequencing, etc., depending on the year of manufacturing.

    Regards, Alberto

I do not believe that the authenticity of the wheel you are selling is in question. Where it was restored should be of little consequence provided that the workmanship, materials, and historical accuracy is correct. In this instance Maranello refurbishment or not all 3 criteria are failing making it an improperly restored wheel.

I have the original steering wheel in 00630 and it's different to the one in Post 4. The MOMO name is in the rear of the central spoke in two lines:
    MO
    MO
Not Made in Italy or any number.

    Carlo,
A version of the Daytona wheel is visually identical to these Dino wheels under discussion but I recall they are a larger diameter. Dino wheels are 37cm...
