Dino Diff Bolt question

    Im at he stage to install my engine (Dino 246) and somewhere in the back of my head I recall reading something about the actual way to put the coupling bolts in (half shaft to Diff drive) I recall one of them was either too long or too short and a washer has to be used ...somewhere...does this ring a bell with anybody, or did I dream it ?

    Yes you were dreaming. Bolts and nuts, no washers. All the bolts are the same. Good luck with the installation!

    It rings a bell with me on 308, so don't know if it specifically applies to 246 too, but if the end of the bolts on the LH inboard CV joints get very close to the ends of the studs on the diff housing (or anything else), it would be no sin IMO to put washers under the bolt heads to back up the end of the bolt away from the end of the fixed studs (but Fig 55 on page 78 of the 246 WSM looks like there might be a bit more nominal clearance on your model so less probability of a problem).
