I thought I'd share some pictures of this Dino 246 GTS, which is currently being restored by us (Foskers) in the UK.

This Dino has just had a bare-metal re-paint back to its original Argento Auteuil Metallizato 106.E.1.

Chassis s/n 04824 was ordered in June 1972 and delivered to the UK in the autumn through Motortune of Knightsbridge, London. The original interior was Nero Plastica with electric windows.

We discovered this Dino in 2012. The car had been in the same ownership for decades, in the collection of an Italian family.

I am currently in the process of researching the early history of this Dino GTS, so of course any leads are greatly appreciated.

I will post more pictures in due course, including some shots from the past, and prior to restoration.

I'm curious as to why, when restoring a car like this, the lower satin blacking line is placed incorrectly. It seems to be something a number of UK restorers do. Is it something the customer has requested?

From the Dino Compendium this color is the second most popular.
