    page 237 of the dino compendium shows the seatbelt buckle for a u.s. e-series dino ,by robbins company. is there a source for these buckles ? i am looking to replace one that broke on another car that happens to use the same. thanks, dan

    thanks uro, will give them a call, i don't have the internals of the buckle as they were broken and i tossed them. (the buckle is from my 79 excalibur ,same as used in the dino ).

    Apparently GM used Robbins as well. I just bought these. I'd like to know if anyone has ever been able to remove the cover. Please let me know

    I have the receuver internal except the top starbust plastic if you need it

    thanks mel , those are the ones i am looking for , now just a matter of finding them . (i had searched google, ebay etc. with little luck ) this should help narrow my search. dan

    mel, it is very difficult to remove the plastic cover without breaking it. the front prongs of the plastic can be pried up ,but the back ones need to be slid forward and are almost impossible to get at. don't think they were meant to ever be taken apart. talk about a cheap , mickey mouse design !!

    Your only other option is to remove the star sticker with a razor and swap it with the GM sticker. You'd also need to swap the belts as well. Take it to a tailor or any upholstry shop and they'll do it for you. That's what I did.
