You have no clue how much time I have spent asking the same question in the last 48 hours.... And those around me..... A word of advise, colors look different on a monitor or when looking at small samples instead of taking a large sample out into the sun. Shawn
haha I hear ya shawn - did you reach a conclusion yet? my original color is black - but im having a hard time avoiding the temptation of these blues! I have a tan interior so im leaning towards the dino blue on the right
Ricky, you are a man of exquisite taste - the blue on the right is the way to go! As for black, some people like it but I don't think it does the Dino's curves justice. Somehow they get obscured in black cars...
that's exactly what I feel like - the dino's voluptuous curves are amplified with a lighter color and subdued with darker ones. as far as having good taste, im just trying to choose cars and colors than stir emotion!
About to be revealed. As much as I have loved and thought about Dino Blue, it is very bright in the sunlight. Kind of like an Electric light blue. Much lighter than I would have thought....... Shawn
yeh that's exactly what im looking for....I like the darker blues but I feel like they're too close to pozzi, which has been a very popular blue over the past 10 yrs...my FF is pozzi and I wld never do an FF in dino blue my 456 is TDF so dino will be one of the 2 posted part of me is still considering going lighter: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/141928786-post253.html Image Unavailable, Please Login
I am not against the lighter colors, but I think the darker metallic colors really accent the Dino lines.... Especially in sunlight... Shawn
But as a previous poster said.....it can look very different under alternative lighting conditions..... Image Unavailable, Please Login
The lighter one really says something about the car to be honest, especially in that tail shot. This coming from the guy ISO the perfect pozzi car.

Or this: I'm kinda scared of this car. The red one I thought would get a hoot. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
One comment about Blu Sera - the color changes a lot in different lighting conditions. It can look almost black, or have a bit of an ocean greenish tint, plus a range of blue in different intensities. I like that about the color, but you might not...
Funny you should mention the greenish tint, Mark. I always noticed all the red and purple tones in Blu Sera under indirect garage lighting, but once I parked my TdF F430 and 458 Spiders next to the Dino in the garage, they looked more reddish, and the Dino looked almost green in comparison! These colors really do change drastically in varied lighting conditions. Fred
The other day my wife was in the garage with fluorescent lights on plus sunlight coming in a window and said she counted four distinct shades of blue depending on what combination of light and shadow hit the car, ranging from dark purple to sea blue-green. I love that about the color, but when Jon was sending pictures of the painted shell it was very hard to get a handle on what the color really was.
Do the top half in one and the bottom half in another. It'll look like an Eighties Mercedes! Of the ones posted so far, I like the bottom car in post #1 and the top and bottom cars in post #13. Oh, the agony of choosing! Blue is my favorite color for cars, BTW!
is there any chance the dino registry is incorrect? it says my car was blue chiaro metallico and black interior. we've thought along it was originally black and tan interior!
