    Hello,

I own a 1968 Fiat Dino Spider 2000, which of course uses the same engine as the 206 Dino GT.

Would you please tell me where the engine number is stamped?

And, maybe you know this too: how do I conclude that it is the original "matching numbers" engine block? Do I need to write to Fiat?

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Alex

The engine number is in the V near the distributor. You may need to take off the air cleaner to see it.

The engine number will not match the chassis number but will match the engine number stamped in the data plate in the passenger (LHD) side of the engine compartment.

Fiat has no records... they even can`t confirm the original colour....
