A couple of us were chatting about Dino rear trunk space and came across the subject of the two rear interior corner areas in the back of the Dino.

Does anyone else have any, 1 or 2 triangular fiberglass pockets that fit into the interior wells directly behind the rear wheel arches?
I anticipated seeing these on TAV 104 or 108 but didn't find them

These were fitted to later E series cars in conjunction with the leather strap that attaches to the bumper bolt to store the jack and tool kit upright in I believe.

I have one in the driver side (US) rear trunk corner in the location your photo shows. Synchro and I were also talking about whether there is one for the passenger side (US) rear corner. Given the way the two sheet metal pieces come together to form a 2 layer sandwich just below the pocket areas, I think it might be a good idea to also put a fiberglass pocket in that corner too, even if not original, to catch items that might fall in there. The pocket is very easy to remove.

I too had the left side pocket in my '74 GTS USA version. I added the other side to cover the void.

My 73 GT euro spec only has a driver side one (left side), I suspect this was just to support the jack, as Iain says. I would also like one for the right side if anyone has a source.

I am having one made out of fiberglass as a slip mold of the other side - but it may have to be customized a little since the holes do not appear to be very symmetrical. I will post again as this progresses.

Superformance lists them under the body fittings section. That's where I got mine.

The pockets are not symmetrical - at least not on my Dino, so unless Superformance makes one for the left AND the right, the right trunk one will not fit.

The bumper bolt on the side quarter - thanks again.

    1) What material is the pocket lined with?

    2) Do you have a source for the strap? Rorky?

The right pocket I bought from Surperformance fit fine in my GTS and GT.

I think I have one that I can replicate if there is interest in them.
    Whether it is a R or a L, I don't know, as mine is a USA E version.

    Regards, Alberto

Forget the fiberglass insert, I'd like to know more about the belt in the area.....

My car has a power antenna in that area - no way for a belt to go there, much less the jack bag. So I suspect there were different locations for the belt

If we're talking about the same thing, it is a buckled leather strap to secure the jack
Based on the holes in one, the strap is attached to the pocket.
