Who ever did the photography deserves a pat on the back. It has an almost three dimension quality. Pretty cool.

Shot with a long telephoto lens, which has a narrow depth of field so the background is blurred. Or some kind of Photoshop which imitates it.

Gooding sold this 206GT just two years ago at Amelia Island --> 1969 Ferrari Dino 206 GT (see also www.finecars.cc).

I hope that in the meantime almost the "Cavallino" and the badge "Ferrari" in the rear side have been removed while the correct exhaust system has been installed.

Another Gooding Dino added. I'm anxious to see more pictures of this particular car because it may be the `distressed', not driven since 1985 white GTS I saw at my DB4 mechanic's shop a few weeks ago. If so, it'll be very interesting, but I'll hold my comments until then.

    Gooding:
    1974 Ferrari Dino 246GT, #08236, White/Maroon?
    Estimate: $275,000 - $350,000, No Reserve

Met. Green car looks fantastic. Not overly keen on the piping on the seats and the tan center console, but it should do very well

So Gooding now has their full catalog up on their web site. This is in fact the Dino I saw at my mechanic's shop a while ago. It is the true definition of a basket case. The engine lid doesn't need a bracket to hold it up. The hinges are so shot, the lid will maintain any position along its travels. I was also told that the front boot lid was frozen shut and the hinges broke when they finally got it open. So anyone who acquires this will have to assume a very large amount of $$'s will be needed just to make it into a driver.

Sounds like a job for OMGJON...

That thing looks like it was parked under a tarp, rather than a carport.

I felt the need to get one when I saw the car and tried to lift the engine lid. Now that I think of it, I didn't run to the bathroom to wash my hand! Oh, oh!

All I can say is good luck to whoever would buy this car for even the low estimate. There are so many nice Dino's on the market now, why pay a premium for one that needs everything. If this car sells for the low estimate the rest of us Dino owners can sleep pretty easy knowing that we must be sitting on a gold mine!!

With a $225k restoration, don't you think they could've thrown in correct tire valve stems?

    Freeman,

I could never paint a Dino this color unless it was original spec, but honestly, this is one of my favorite colors for a Dino. It really accents curves and design.

I agree. It's a gorgeous bold color. Really shows off the curves. Great light travel.
