For the benefit of future searches...

    Details according to the listing:

This is a very rare U.S model Ferrari Dino 246 GT. Ferrari did not build very many Dino's for the U.S. market. Numbered 02938, this 1971 Dino 246 GT is an original us-delivery car, first owned by Ronnie E. Rogers of Ocoee, Tenn. According to Ferrari's history of the car it was shipped to England in 1980 and the unit was calibrated to Kilometers. In 1990 it was sold VIA auction. During the 2008 year the Ferrari Dino was restored and color changed to the very stricking silver and black livery. The vehicle Runs and drives great, virtually flawless in presentation. Vehicle has also Daytona seats and power windows. Dino 02938 marks an outstanding example of Ferrari's first and highly influential series of mid-engine road cars.

Starting bid is $270k, Reserve NOT Met

There must have been a decent amount of metal work done on this car to remove the US turn indicators and both fill them in (at the back) and replace them with Euro examples (at the front).

    Matthias,

The description says the car has daytona seats, which is inaccurate. It seems I'm seeing a bunch of 72 and earlier cars with daytona seats, wasn't 73 the first year for that option? Thanks.

    Ken,

When re-trimming an interior, it is super easy to "ADD" Daytona seats. Especially considering this is a desirable option, it makes sense to do.

The seat option was available around the 1973 time frame from the factory.

Good catch, has been popular for ages.
Adding flares was almost as popular in the 1980's and 1990's as adding Daytona seats - It is one way to get the desirable Flares and Chairs when not available from factory on your car

It seems to keep the car as close to original as possible, you'd want the correct seats. I understand it's a matter of opinion, but it speaks to the correctness of any restoration. As much as i like daytona seats, i have black with yellow inserts in my 05 360 Spyder, each of my Dino's, serial number 00464( cloth inserts ) and 04244 have the standard seats. I always assumed only 73-74 cars had the option. Thanks.
