I am getting ready to respray my 246 in it's original color, 106-A-38 Blu Chiaro Metallizzato (confirmed by Ferrari.)
The problem is: the original paint areas that I can find are much more blue green than any reference I have for 106-A-38 or the rattle can that I had mixed from Automotivetouchup. The can I have seems a very close match to any references I find in books or on the internet.

Could the paint have faded over the years to a more blue / green or do the reference photos not represent the color accurately? I can color match the original, but if it's no longer accurate, should I match the references I can find?

Original color shown on left, Automotive touchup on right.

original colour on the left looks almost correct... Automotive touchup on the right looks completely wrong....
