To smarter folks out there that likely know these better than myself...

Can anyone tell me what vintage this is? Is it rare? It may be mine through a package of books and literature etc.

    Thanks !!

a "ps" of sorts on it would be (so the book seller says), he's owned it 35+ years, and it came out of a dealership in NY. Approximately 2' long, considers it very original and in good working order. (he mentioned he acquired it along with the 246 he'd bought in early 1980).

Can't find any Google images of like ones either.

    Not a factory piece IMO.

How does one tell if the neon sign is factory or not? I've seen it and it looks vintage and authentic.

If it would have been a factory sign, some people here would recognize it from the past. Maybe a dealer or enthusiast has ordered is as one-off item.
