Neal, here is a VV-Key: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ferrari-parts-collectibles/540205-nos-dino-parts.html We are thinking about reproducing. If there is enough demand I will find a good sample we will go for it. Attached a first sketch. Best regards, Stefan Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great to see you constantly adding new items and looking at others you can develop Stefan. I would be interested in having a VV key if you decide to make them.
I can only second that! I sent my original worn out gearbox oil filter to Dino Parts and they made a replica that now can be bought by everyone for a real fair price. Great to see a vendor that spends time and money on new "old" parts production. Next step could be better pictures and maybe slightly more description..Nothing sells like good pictures....just for your inspiration Stefan....- Regards Peter
Stefan, I agree! We really appreciate you making authentic new parts for our Dinos! Most of us Dino owners on Ferrari Chat are looking for the best possible, most authentic parts at good prices. Good photos of the products go a long way to help us compare and make a decision. We REALLY appreciate you blogging here! It's a win-win opportunity! Also, thank you for responding to my pm. Freeman
put me down for one VV-key.... but much more interesting in term of numbers that can be sold would be blank original Neiman ignition keys and original blank Torino door keys...!
Also note, to complicate things, there are a variety of nuances in Neiman key shafts. They can look identical except a slightly different groove. Freeman
Freeman, do you have pictures showing the difference... never noticed this one.... my two original Neiman keys look 100% the same from #01100 and #06856 reproductions from some years ago (sold out) say just "Germany" not "Made in Germany" of the Torino door keys I have seen different ones.... I'll keep you updated. Could be that Dinos all used the same blank. Trying to get my friend's collection of NOS blanks to photograph. When I went through his collection to get the correct blanks for my Dino I had to match up my blank to the correct type which were many. Freeman
There are multiple different versions of keys that Nieman made, but just because the head looks the same, it doesn't mean the shaft design is. All Dino's I have seen all use the same style of Nieman key shaft. That doesn't mean all Ferraris do. For the SAFE Torino keys, there are four different types that were used for Dino locks that I am aware of. Each starts with a number of two, four, six, or eight. Even for these keys there are multiple shaft designs, but the forementioned are the type I have always seen on any Dino I have looked at. Shawn
These are examples of the blanks I have in my collection. The Neiman blank matches the key for my Dino. The Torino/Safe blanks are numbered 2, 4, 6 and 8. Number 4 matches the key for my Dino. Freeman Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you all for the response. I enjoy this community alot already. We have the issue with to small pictures on our list. They are that size because our webshop was made in a time when storage space was expensive. We are preparing to launch a new shop in summer that will have that problem resolved. I am going to get the VV-Key done. Thank you Jon for offering a sample, I will send you PM. Also thank you Matthias on the hint for the other keys. What do you think about these in the 308 section? http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/308-328-sponsored-yellow-compass-group/538890-torino-s-f-e-door-accessory-key-blank.html Best regards, Stefan
It is a bit edgy but I think will feel right after the survace treatment. Omgjon will you volunteer for testing if it locks OK? Image Unavailable, Please Login
