Can anyone recommend a good fitted Car cover for a 246GT? I believe satin is the stretchable fabric. Thanks!
+1 for the recommendation above. They will supply the cover with the Dino logo on it if requested. Here is one of their covers on one of my Dinos. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I forgot to say they are/were the OEM supplier to Ferrari for the covers supplied with all new Ferrari models so the Dino cover is made to the same standard using the same materials and comes in the same silk fabric type holdall bag.
Not to hijack the thread, but I went to the website (thinking about getting a car cover) and saw the Autoshoes. I am one of those guilty of not driving the Dino enough. Do those Autoshoes work? Thanks for any advice.
Yes auto shoes work but you can also achieve the same result by parking on pieces of foam insulation (the blue or pink stuff depending on where you live). Available at any builders store. Of course the auto shoes do look better than a piece of foam but cost significantly more.
I purchased one a few years ago and vastly superior to anything else on the market. They are slow to make them and expect to wait 6 weeks. Tony
How? I tried multiple times to sign in and open an account. I succeeded once. But before I succeeded and every time since when I have put in my email and password in order to buy a cover, I get the following message: "Sorry, we couldn't show the requested page because of an internal server error. Please try the following: Retry loading the page Return to the homepage We apologize for the inconvenience." I have used an iPad, a Mac Pro and my desktop Mac. And I have tried Safari and Firefox. And I have emailed Covercar on their contact page with no response. Any suggestions?
The same problem persisted with me. You have to email them direct and they will invoice you to pay on PP. Good Luck
Thank you for your response. However, I did email them with the exact same question I have asked on this board. When I received no response from them for over a week, I thought I would ask here. How long did it take for your response? I did email them again, yesterday (Friday), so I will wait patiently until next week. Unfortunately, it appears their new website is not working too well.
I dealt with Andrea Corinaldesi and used the email address [email protected] He was very helpful. It was back in 2014 though so I can't vouch for the speed they respond at present but am sure they will get back to you. Nothing is ever urgent in Italy
Hi, I recently got a really good light weight fitted cover for my Alfa 4C from Car Covers | Tailored | Fitted | from Cover Your Car Uk They do a wide range of materials for outside and indoors covers. Car Covers | Tailored | Fitted | from Cover Your Car Uk Chris
I take it you didn't get the OEM car cover that should have come with your 4C? It is made by CoverCar in Italy for Alfa I'm sure and has the Alfa and 4C logos embroidered on it. Alfa dealers can order it for around £220 I believe and should be able to give at least 10% discount off that. Here is what it looks like Alfa 4C Indoor Car Cover - Alfa Romeo Shop - Tuning, Styling, Fanartikel und Modellautos
So I emailed Covercar last Friday afternoon (5 days ago). Received a response on Monday. Emailed them back Tuesday morning regarding a color choice. Received an immediate response from them Tuesday morning. I emailed them my color choice, red, not orange, as they said the orange might not be close enough to Rosso Dino and not look right in comparison to my car. They again emailed me immediately with billing information which I Paypaled (spelling?) them last night (Tuesday), and received my confirmation of payment received from them this morning (Wednesday), stating it would be shipped in 5 days if in stock, or 5 weeks if they had to make it. Incredible service and communication! I can only imagine that my first email got lost somewhere on the internet. And I just checked their website and the login connection is still not working. You have to communicate with them by email........ [email protected]
It seems it would have been appropriate for them to give you the lead time before taking your money. Some people might not want a 5wk wait for a cover to be made.
