No skin in this game, but Sheehan's got a nice looking Dino for sale now. https://ferraris-online.com/pages/carintro.php?reqcardir=FE-246GTS-03916 Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree - they look like they need to be adjusted so that the clearance between the bumpers and the body are more consistent. They seem to flare out towards the ends.
That's true, but Michael Sheehan says it is "seriously for sale at $374,950," which, according to what you posted elsewhere, is about $164,950 above the price you were willing to pay. Hopefully you can work out a deal with Mr. Sheehan!
I just looked at the photos again on Mike Sheehan's website, and it looks like that if there is an issue with the front bumpers that it should be relatively easy to correct. Mike describes it as a "Amelia Island Sports and GT Award winning and a Platinum winning Ferrari at Cavallino" last year, so if it received a Platinum award at Cavallino, it would appear to be a great Dino.
" is about $164,950 above the price you were willing to pay." Ok, are you implying that my I will pay 210K for all 246 regardless of their quality in restoration. This car is worth more than 210K of course I would offer more than that for this one. The black GT is not GTS, the black GT's paint is mediocre. With loads of touchups, with mechanical issues, no paperwork, tools, firewall, gauges and many more. This one is the business! Has won and been loved as opposed to bouncing to 3 auction house in 3 years. I love it the GTS that Mike is representing and would pay more for sure. Yesterday I almost made an offer to Mike but held back. I would not come close to his asking price. However, I am mostly after Euro version cars. Thus the reason I am holding back on making an offer. I do think the asking price 370;s s a bit optimistic. But I am sure it will sell with no problems.
I think the black GT is worth a lot more than you think, but be that as it may, I think Mike's car appears to be a great Dino, and if you think you can work out a deal with Mike, I say go for it! Mark
I agree with you Mark on both count. The GT is worth more, I also know what it would to take to correct the black GT, minimum 65K+ to bring it back, with loads of chasing around. There is also an history of dead battery issue. Not good! I also would also think that the GT might need a complete engine rebuilt. 210K+65+engine rebuilt =? That is how I came up with my offer. As per the GTS, that is a car that I would welcome. It would look very nice next to my Speedster of 17years. I can't muster the asking price of 374K we are too far apart. I also like the euro version followed by GT. Olivier
Thanks Mark Much appreciate it. Let me know if you hear of anything. Feel free to pm me anytime Cheers Olivier
I just tried to PM you but got the following message: "Iceblue has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her. . . ." I think you need to reset your PM status. Mark
Olivier - I received your PM, but I still could not send you a reply. I got the same message as before, which I have copied below - this time with the header included: "The following errors occurred with your submission: Iceblue has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her." Mark
