Looking for the crossbar the radiator tank mounts to. The one I have has the number from a rare Dino that is being restored and should be re-united with it but that leaves me needing one.

I have a related question. On my car the expansion tank has a small braided hose going forward from the end of the tank. I can't get it loose to repair the tank without destroying it, (or shortening it too much). Does someone have a direct replacement or what is the size of the hose?

The fellow with the rare Dino has offered to make me a new one but I thought someone might have a spare they could let go.

It should be reinforced rubber (same as the heater) hose and is used to provide vacuum relief. Not sure on the size. Try to slide a small screwdriver under the hose, they get very hot and trend to weld themselves to the metal............

Wrong part Tony, it is the long 30mm pipe, threaded at the ends and with the expansion tank mounted to it.

We already made one I was missing.

Spares ought to be rare, and I don't have a spare, but can zip one up for you.
I have the original to copy from, and I am certain, will be less expensive. Are you in extreme urgency?

    Regards, Alberto

Alberto, Thanks for the offer but part of the deal is making me the bar. I thought if I could find an original would be best for me if possible. It is a fairly simple part to make.

Sorry Alberto I didn't read the original post correctly, I now know the part you are referring to. Simple to remake I would have thought.

You are welcome, it is easy to make, but finicky to make look proper.

    Tony,

Thanks for the input. I tried to loosen it with a screwdriver, just couldn't get under it enough. I guess I'll just use plain cooling system hose until I can find appropriate, cloth braided hose.

    Thanks again...

It happens Ken, if there is no slack in the hose then its best to renew, if you do get the old hose off then it may not reseal when you refit it.

If you have some slack then just put a small slit in the hose with a utility knife and cut back the hose by an inch.
