Does anyone know what they're asking for this Dino? And...what is a fair price for a nice car like this one? Thanks! Im thinking of buying my first Dino. JWW Autosport Designs
According to the Autosport Designs ad, "In early 2017 this Dino received a major service by well-known and respected Ferrari specialist Greg Jones to include, everything and anything needed to make sure the Dino is ready for immediate use or concours showing. . . . As evidenced by its superb condition throughout, it has been properly restored and maintained throughout its lifetime and to date." This "Flares and Chairs Dino" is also described as having been equipped with "6.5 Campy wheels as fitted to Chairs & Flares Dinos." A couple of minor points: 1. C&F Dino Campagnolo wheels are 7.5" wide, not 6.5" wheels; and 2. The steering wheel is incorrect. 6.5 Campy wheels as fitted to Chairs & Flares Dinos
The clock is incorrect too: it says "QUARZO" on it rather than "ELETTRONICO" and the spare wheel tie-down is missing. Should we keep criticizing it?
Actually, I think the car looks pretty damn nice! Mainly I was criticizing the ad content, since I know that Tom Papadopoulos would otherwise have noticed. The spare wheel tie-down can be sourced (I think I just saw one on eBay from Tony Randazzo) and I believe that the clocks can be sourced (or relabeled) too. This looks like it could be a great car - it certainly looks much better than several ones that have come up recently at other dealers!
More power to them both! The buyer got a great looking Dino (even though it needs a few relatively minor corrections) with heritage running through Harrah's Modern Classic Motors and Ron Tonkin (America's oldest Ferrari dealer). Even at full price (even assuming it was in the $5xx,xxx range) I think it will prove to be a fair deal to all. Congratulations to the purchaser, and welcome to the club - if you haven't owned a Dino before.
Not a bad result if they achieved anything over $5xx,xxx. What is the market for a chairs and Flares car ATM?
