I sold it new in England April 1996 to 1st owner Mr Andy Stanton. It is #116/349, assembly #22040, engine # 42165, original UK reg # M1 FSO. After a couple years of good use the car was sold to German trader Reiner Kux.
Tarek, I can't remember where I read this, but weren't there supposed to be a few 5 digit serial number F50s, amongst them the famous 99999? I've even seen pictures of the VIN, I just can't locate them at the moment. Thing is, I don't see that in your list. I could be very confused, however. Please explain...
#104786 was also registered on British plates N 664 MFH. 104786 should be #115/349, not #116/349. #116/349 is 104787 sold new thru Lais Power of Stuttgart to Ulrich Plattenhardt (who was killed 10/28/2000 in his 360 Challenge during the Finals in Mugello). Marcel Massini
Wow never knew a driver had died at a challenge race http://www.ferrariownersclub.co.uk/happenings/2000/november/tutte_le_ferrari.html
I was there, right at the place where it happened. Very sad. VERY very massive frontal crash. Marcel Massini
You are right Matthew. There were 5 prototype F50s built, all with the same serial number, 99999. These are apart from the other 349 F50's built.
Disagree. There were 12 (twelve) F50s built before S/N 103097. These twelve include the prototypes. Earliest S/N is 95592. And the highest F50 serial number is 109103, not 107240. Marcel Massini
