Nice picture! Don't see too many McLarens in it. Love the P4, ex Piper if I'm not mistaken (!!)

David owned both of them at one point. (P 3/4 and 412P).

Bruce did drive the Ford (#2) at Le Mans in 67.

Lets also not forget that Ferrari has not finished first overall at LeMans since 1965 and that the last Supercar to accomplish that was a Macca.

I hope the real thing is better than my sketch since I'm not a professional (car) designer. Anyway, the front won't be that far off if the teaser pic is to be believed - and it has already been commented by someone who has seen the car that the front pretty close.

Thanks. I had posted something a long time ago based on the first pics of the mule. This was refined after seeing teaser pics and latest mules with radiator exit in the nose.

Certain parts of it are beautiful to me, certain things will have to grow on me. This will likely change when I drive one

. For whatever its worth, Friday is much earlier than I have been told for a public debut. I don't know why Ferrari would have pushed up the date so far, but stranger things have happened.

My question is this . . . if you have seen it, is it really IDENTICAL in size to the 458?

Reason I ask . . . in the cammo mule, the wheel base is much longer than the 458--using the ratio of the tires as a reference point.

In addition, the engine compartment will be bigger than the 458's compartment and the proportionality one sees when one looks forward of the front windscreen is something more, too.

So, I can accept the same height as the 458. I can accept the same cockpit size. What is puzzling is the length/wheelbase. It just does not seem physically possible.

I recall an article that said you had a Stutz. But the car on the far left looks like a Duesenberg. Is this a Stutz and I am just mistaken?

I dont think they will show the car this friday. Private viewings will be on going all February. So my guess is that they will show one picture a few days before Geneva or just wait for Geneva.

Or, if you believe one source here, skip Geneva altogether.

I expect a public reveal mid-February via press release with limited photos, probably heavily retouched to the point of looking like renderings. Then I expect it on the stand in Geneva - there's no way they'll miss that opportunity to snag the attention a show like that generates whether they need it to sell out the production run or not.

I think that there is a range of events at Maranello starting to take place, ie dealer meetings, the presentation of the new F1, etc. There will be ample opportunity for a variety of people to view the F70 if Ferrari deems so, which imo will mean that some leaks will be inevitable.

As far as customers go, I believe that documents will start circulating more widely after this week.

The car in his garage photo was the Stutz - here's a better photo below.

His Duesey was just out of frame when that image was taken as it is usually parked in the corner. I don't know any of this from first hand experience - I've just drooled over a lot of pictures from Jim's garage.

One thing is clear to me, the second version is a ways off. However, I remain hopeful that Ferrari will follow through and make something truly special, not that a super Ferrari isn't special enough, but I want to be able to eat my cake too

. Ferrari have managed something very unique with this car, and I think it's going to be better received than the Enzo was initially. It is certainly prettier, at least to me. Having said that I have yet to see it in person, but I think that only reinforce my opinion.
