    Hello,
I'm in the process of refinishing my wheel wells and although I've only completed the drivers side, I'm psyched to get some pics up to share the results thus far. The only thing I have yet to complete is the touch up of rock chips behind the rear tire on the body (see pic).

    Here is what I did....

    1. Removed wells.
    2. Remove rubber moulding, clean and hydrate with Wurths rubber care.
    3. Remove all the Dinol with mineral spirits, heavy duty scotch brite, rinse clean.
    4. On aluminum lower well; Feather-out the edges with sand paper caused by rock chips
    5. Scrub the outer shell of the wheel well and then wet sand the outer portion of the well leaving it smooth and clean. That which is visible from inside engine bay.
    6. clean screws, washers and bolts, spray with a textured black.

    7. Use Wurths Stone Guard, 2 light coats on inner wells.
    8. touch up lower rocker panel in front and behind tire.
    9. Install wheel wells and tire
    10. Rechromed lug bolts

While the Wheel well was out I cleaned up the shock and others various parts.

    Thanks..

Looks pretty nice! And it's much better than the orignial Dinol stuffs.

I bought the Wurth Stone Guard too but have no gut to trip the Dinol and decided to leave everything alone for now.

Scruffy wheel wells really show the age of a car. It's amazing how good the Wurth product makes them look. Awesome job!

This is something I have not even considered doing? But based on this thread, its now on my "winter do list". Easy job to do and will be an immediate, noticable improvement. Great post! Joe

Man, a few years ago it was awful...it got all the way down in the 40's a couple of times. Would you believe I actually had to wear a long sleeve shirt one day driving the 308 so I could keep the windowns down? Geeesh...Talk about bad winter weather! :)

Man, my car needs this sooo bad. I tried just scrubbing them down with Simple Green and a mild pressure wash. Looks absolutely no better than when I started.

Looks like this will be my procedure.

    Thanks very much.

Advice: Let the mineral spirits sit on the Dinol for several minutes. I used a M.S. that was organic, a milky white from Lowes.

Buy several scotch brites and a soft bristle brush. I scrubbed small sections at a time, rinsing inbetween to see my progess.

The Dinol makes a MESS. Do it where you will not mind getting it on anything.

I was able to get the inside wells exceptionally clean, not a sign of Dinol anywhere on the fiberglass wells.

Brake Cleaner also works well, but you'll go through alot. I used it for hard to reach and small touch-up areas.

I used a citrus cleaner called Goo Gone. Picked it up at Lowes, comes in a spray bottle. I dampened a rag and ran it through the spring. I also used a small toothbrush with it on it.

Then a clean rag to wipe it off....

    Thanks..
