I've got a set exactly like that sitting in my garage, with Kuhmo racing slicks on them, and lug nuts. They were off of a 328, and I used them on my Mondial QV and 308 GTS. If anyone is interested in a set of Gotti wheels, with or without the slicks, PM me.
Anyone have a pic of a gt4 on gottis? i need to get the engine back in mine as a priority but...you know...
I'm not a huge Gotti fan but I really like what this owner did to his. Sandblasted and painted the centers to tone down the look a bit. Great looking car - an F-chatter but I don't remember who! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Shoot. I like the way those look without the gold trim. For $400 and some elbow grease I kinda regret not buying those.
I have a set with the centers painted silver and they look great . I don't like the way they look with the gold it all too cheesy for me . I just swap them for a set of hre 505s
Thanx, that's my 308! and i love it notice that there are two version of this particular wheel. Gotti made the normal "street" version but also a competition version. The latter are on my car. The difference is the amount of bolts used for keeping the wheels together. I'm biased but i do like the racing version better. 400US $ is indeed a bargain. I sold another set (that was supposed to go under my track car but i went for 17" compomotives) for Euro 750 and even that was "a price among friends"
You can easily do a lot with these wheels to change their look. Some experimental "trial" pictures of mine follow. When these wheels have 16 bolts, they are 2 piece. When these wheels have 32 bolts, they are 3 piece. Enjoy - DM Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Kinda cool!!! For the $400 though, that seems REALLY cheap. I think I would have gotten them and painted the whole set metallic black so I could try that look on my car. The Gold look might look cool as well. PDG
Fellow F-chatter Steve passed the Gotti baton on to me yesterday with these 16inch wheels. They'd been track wheels for him and could use a makeover...but then they might show up the rest of the car...I may just leave them original and use them. Just need my GT4 back... As a non oem finish, I am tempted to mimic a Porsche Fuchs wheel - dull/satin aluminum rim and satin black centres. Thanks Steve for personally delivering them! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I like those and might start watching for a set. What size tires do they take? Something relatively standard, I hope?
My 308 came with these wheels. They had a gold background but I changed them to black. I also polished the centers to almost chrome like. I like them, but I think I'll put something more original looking on. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I got these from TRutlands.... Great look on a 1079 car . I did a suspension restore and added a nuvolari exhaust . Like a new car ... Better !!! forza http://ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1539888&stc=1&d=1340024763 Image Unavailable, Please Login
They look neat - I think the black makes them look more understated. Did you polish them yourself. And did you clear coat the finish afterwards?
Frank nice job. I took a ride in it yesterday and the difference is significant. The suspension updates and the coil overs along with the new 16" wheels make it handle better then new. I can feel a significant difference from my 77.
I think the black helps also. I did polish them myself, it was a lot of work. No clear coat, there is a protective finish in the polishing compound. I've done this before with other cars. But in this case, I think it's a little too flashy for this car. That is why I'm thinking of going to repro 16's. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Jim, a while ago you asked for an update on the Gotti's. A local refinisher is almost done with them. I went for buffing lightly the original polished outer rim, and satin black for the centres. Should match the Silver/boxer paint of the Gt4. I'll rebuild the suspension before putting them on. The wheel guy commented they he felt they were really nicely made wheels: Image Unavailable, Please Login
