i lost my head for a car i did not like before: it's an early 208 GTS turbo, very very rare, but it's an early turbo without intercooler, not the best Ferrari engine ever. But it's a single owner with very few miles and first paint, an untouched car. And i like it very much. I did a very big offer yesterday to the owner, maybe a nonsense for that car, but my heart says to go for it. I'm crossing my finger and i really hope i will be given the car. It's funny as i always criticized that model: I think i need a doctor!

    :)

    ciao

I love these turbo's. They look like mini-GTO's especially the Berlinettas.

PLEASE let us know how it turns out.

Oh and BTW, make sure the Nurse or Doc uses a thermometer and not a Dip Stick when taking your temperature.

Maybe! I am very fond of '80s sport cars: i still miss the early turbo 208, a carbed 308 and a QV... The problem is where to put all those old metals... i have to make a choice among those and (for me) the best looking is the early turbo so that's my first pick among them: let's see what happens, maybe i won't be given the car and i will start my search for something different.

It's never too late to get cured ... hi,hi,hi :)

I understand your choice VERY VERY well ... as You should know ;-)

Trust me: You will love her - just because of the differences to the intercoolers.
    (You'll never get a larger Turbo-leak)

I cross my fingers for you to get her !

I maybe wrong, in which case I would be stuck in some kind of "Groundhog Day" spiral, but every indicator points towards today being MONDAY to me, not Tuesday...

It's a red/black 208 GTS turbo, a pristine single owner car with just 12000 km (less than 8000 miles), unrestored, that still has the blue circle on the left front rim.

I'm crossing my fingers but, despite my very big offer, i do not know if the owner will give me it, as he asked an out of mind price that i did not want to match.

    I think it's not Tuesday yet... :)

    ciao

thank you very much, Chris. It has some small things to fix, but it's the best 208 turbo i have ever seen. That does not mean you cannot find a better one, but that is one of the best among the just 250 produced

Thank you very much, Markus. I always considered the first turbo the best looking among the 208-308-328 family. Not the best car, but the best looking and the Ferrari first step in the turbo era, so it has its own plus.

I'm very happy of the purchase, even if i paid a crazy price.

I will post more pictures as soon as i will have the car at home and it will be serviced and cleaned, that means within some weeks.

    ciao
