Why they should do? I cannot imagine even one reason. The first 308 model costs 200+ K euro just because was the first model. The same model with a steel body instead of fiberglass, costs the half. The fiberglass model has been produced in 1000 (more or less) pieces. 208 GTB turbo was produced in 437 pieces and was the first turbocharged Ferrari street engine ever and a great looking car too, probably better looking than the glass. Why does it have to cost one third than a fiberglass? I think the probablity that prices go up are much more than prices go down, for that ultra rare model.

Trust me: the best car where you can invest some money now, is the 208 GTB turbo (and GTS turbo too). Just 70k for a great looking Ferrari produced in just 437 pieces that even opened the turbo cars era, is a bargain that won't last long. Until one year ago, the world didn't even know very well it exhisted: the world is very big and 437 pieces are very few for the whole world (and just 250 piecs of 208 GTS turbo, even less)

One year ago a 208 GTB turbo here costed 25-30 k euro and three years ago, 15-20 k euro: nor the glass increased four times its value in the last three years.

    ciao

    Albert,
I am just back from Spa Classics 2015 ( Francorchamps)
In the Bonhams auction a vetrosina 308 GTB from 1976 was hammered for 253.000 euro
    Just a few hours ago.
This to let you know your right with 4 times the price.

Thank you for sharing the auction result.
Here a vetro was sold at 270 k without any auction. Big money. I would say that the possibilities to resell that Vetro at twice its price within a year are 1%. For a turbo car those possibilities are much more.

    Ciao

Thanks, Armido: that's the full Quattroruote magazine Road test comparison done in June 1986, great article.

On Mobile.de there are two 99K Euro asking 208 turbo 1982-1985 (one silver and one red, they look to be great conditions cars).

It looks now they cost a bit MORE than the intercooled version and almosta as much as the 328.

    ciao

208 Turbo's are very very nice cars, but I think that 308's will always be more wanted and therefore more expensive.
Yes they are rare, but many 208/308's are rare. A 208 GTB (non turbo) is one of the rarest, but that does not mean it will be the most expensive. Same for the 308 GTBi.

I don't think that any of these cars will come down hard very soon. There is a big market for these beautiful cars and not a lot for sale.

Correct, I agree. But in my opinion I the turbo is a more important car than the "i" and the 208 NA. The turbo is the first turbocharged Ferrari road cars engine ever: 208 NA and "i" haven't any big exclusivity like that.

    Ciao

It was a standard price one year ago, when I got a single owner car like that at 33 k euro...

Last year a dry sump in excellent conditions was sold for 35 k euro and a very good 308 GTB Vetroresina at 50 k. This one won't last until this evening.

Sometimes there are ads sent by someone that did not see this year prices yet.

    ciao
