Should you open it, you would have to budget a "major": obviously due to its age, you would have to change the timing belts. Rgds
It's already ruined with the shield and wrong pinafarina badge location. Nothing to lose I'm looking for the handmade high detailed collector type but really don't know if there is even one...
Exactly. There are a few tutorials on Youtube about how to get the car out of the blister without damaging the cardboard, so who knows how many play hours this model really has.
You guys are killing me! Back when I used to collect Hot Wheels, I bought a few of these. I need to go dig them up.
I bought two of the "Magnum PI" Hotwheels when they were issued in 2013, but you may have missed your chance. It may just be a bubble, but prices have skyrocketed to over $9 each! I am sure there are neighsayers, but who know how high prices may soar. This could be the real thing.
I must have hundreds...I'm going to put them on a pegboard in the garage.... No more Hot Wheels Ferraris.
Yeah, of the two I own, one is a concours garage queen hanging above my workbench still in its packaging. The other is a driver, out of the package sitting on my desk at the office.
Collector #816. Berlinetta. They come in Brown Metalic. Which my actual car is !!!!!!!!! I know the number is correct as it is sitting on my desk as I type. They may come in other colors. Sorry don't know for sure.
Steve Looks like "hotwheels elite 308 gts" is about the best I can find... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hotwheel 246 Dinos and Daytonas are trading way above $25... Naysayers always say "there were just too many Hotwheel 308s" and that "they're just too mass produced", but I have faith that a low miles Hotwheel 308 example like this could reach $20 in the next 3 years, bubble or not. Kids from the 80s are just now starting to have nostalgia and are getting to the point that they have an extra 20 bucks burning a hole in their bank accounts and 401Ks. This at $9 bucks will prove to be a sound investment that you can enjoy in the meantime - plus, who wouldn't want a Hotwheel 308 parked on their desk? LOL!! Ruben
I have a couple of 288's in yellow. One is very poorly painted and the other as an OEM Standard to judge the "freak" by.
It looks like it's got Compomotive TS-17s on it, not correct. The hard top may be behind the seat, in its pouch. Make sure its got the correct tools
Now that it's out of the package, make sure that the correct tools and owners manual were included Also, I found a similar one on ebay with 0 miles, one previous owner. Think it's worth $32 ?
