Does anyone know what can this switch comes from, I am trying to source for my gt4. It says ford 024 on the back, thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I can't tell you where the switch came from but several years ago someone on this forum identified the power window switches as UK sourced by Ferrari, possibly the rear defroster is the same.

The manufacturer is Ford Cologne. They are very similar to the ones used in the mk1 Capri and mk1 Escort, however the silver plating is different (thicker on the Ferrari version). There are really rare. I have not seen one for sale in good condition for years. 308 Restoration | Ford Parts in a Ferrari? You might want to get in touch with this guy: http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/malakomorza?_trksid=p2047675.l2559 He provides stickers and switches that can make a passible facsimile of the original switch.
It mounts in the rear of the early GTB consoles, I would think it better protected in that location. Maybe Ferrparts? TRutlands? Usual wreckers...
About a year and a half ago, I looked for months to find a suitable replacement for this switch as I was repairing/recovering my center console. It is indeed a Mk 1 Cortina switch and very rare. I contacted a Cortina specialist in the UK who said he had a good used one but when I told him I wanted to fit it to my 308, he declined adding that he would save it for Cortina enthusiast. Eventually I found a reasonable used switch and also sent my original one off to Malakomorzo in Poland. Communication was very poor and I had doubts that I would ever see my original switch again, but after about 2-months, my original was returned and looked very good. I reinstalled the refinished one and it still looks good. Instead of a white painted screen symbol on the rocker, he use a sticker. The rechroming, a sputtered deposition process, is done in a vacuum chamber. He also cleaned and confirmed the operational mechanism. Communication during the process was very poor, as was his English, but the total price was very reasonable. The biggest part of the cost was shipping from the USA to Poland IIRC. I would use him again. Bill
I can also recommend him although the use of a sticker rather than screen printing was disappointing. I bought a replacement switch from him for $35 and kept my original. The lens molding is slightly different on the replacement but I am ok with it.
