VHT gold caliper paint really matches the 60's-70's gold wheels you see on the race cars. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Actually it looks nice. It has a period feel to it. WAY better than those gross black wheels. It gives the 308 a bit of 70's flair. -F
Put me down in the "love it" camp. I want to get some of these for my 308 too. Looks great and a nod to the racing heritage. Now you just need some Q1s to improve the stance.
Right... I can go off-roading. That's is exactly what I am doing. A nod to those great cars and early on they were just dipped in Dow 7 which was a gold/brown color. Raced, used and tossed out for a new set.
Love or hate are too strong words for me. I like it, but wouldn't do it on my car. Those gold wheels remind me of the era of the old sports protypes like P4 or 512S and Formula1 cars up to the early 70s. Since the contemporary F1-car is the 312T (the first year of the 308GTB) it just doesn't fit quite right regarding the era. (though there was still a little bit of gold in the front wheels of the T-Ferraris) Best Martin
I can't say I love it but I don't hate it. I think it looks period, I prefer the gold in the old BBS honeycomb wheels.
Great look ! Thanks for posting ! I'm working on the HRE 505's that I bought a few months back. Had them bead blasted and will have them trued up due to some lip damage. After that I'm going to paint them instead of powdercoating them so I can change it if I don't get it quite right. Going without the big center caps also since they didn't come with them. I had a friend machine some rings and press them into the cap counterbore to hide it. Haven't done anything on them for a few weeks so I'm feeling inspired again ! Image Unavailable, Please Login
