Hi everybody, I know it's been discussed lately but would like to have honest opinions on the value of original OEM 16 inches set of wheels. Since my car is sold the set I had for my car MAY BE for sale but need to know what they are worth.

They came off a 1985 euro QV and are in good physical condition except for the finish. They are the OEM staggered 16 inches.

What is a REAL asking price to sell. Don't want to ask crazy price to have them for sale forever making a fortune out of them but don't want to let them go as a givaway. Just an honest market price.

I will post in the for sale section with a price when ready to sell.

Hi Claude, so Alberto needs two rears and I am after two fronts - would you split on that basis if we can agree price? It will come to the same result.....

Uhhh, they will have to be refinished, of course. I have never seen that type of texture. :(

Some Mg rims off-gas and cause that blistering over time. The same thing happens to the boxer wheels and worse on the older vintage rims of a different alloy.

Yes it could be possible. I'm a bit amazed by the interest after only a few hours when I was only asking for opinions of realistic price range. This is not a for sale ad yet.

Are 1986 328 oem rims the same as the 308 oem rim ?

How do two different people both end up with just a pair of wheels? Good stories, I suspect.

Claude, I assume this set is correct with the deep dish rims on rear wheels, yes?

No -- somewhat similar, but 328 do not have the central hub projection that 308 have.

People do fit 328 wheels to 308 (so 308 Owners are still possible buyers of 328 wheels), but it takes some fiddling with the front hub grease caps.

Glad I asked, Newman. But, I don't know what that is. Mg rims off-gas?

Its a challenge you face with Magnesium. I don't know why because thats out of my wheel house, forgive the pun. But my understanding right or wrong is its a property of the alloy that produces or releases a gas that the paint has sealed in. The paint blisters as a result. If you heat the rim up during powder coating it can really mess up the finish but there are ways around it.

There are ways to deal with the blistering, they can be brought back.
