Please Can someone post photos of the black paint in the drip channels of the trunk lid to tail light panel(end of quarter panel ), and the dividing bulkhead channel that separates the engine compartment to the trunk. Would like to see where the black ends and the body color begins. Car is in final primer Thx mike

Wish I could but my car was repainted and these are fully red in my car. I always thought these were in body color, not painted black. Anybody else chime in?!?

Skipgt4 has sent me some photos of the area I am looking for but hasn't found the correct photos yet. He cant post photos here, so when he finds the correct one, with his permission I will post it. Great future reference

Most of those edge pieces (like the belt line on the PF cars) were hand painted after the body colour was applied, so you can go ahead with your primary paint job and fix it later, if there are time issues.

yes thx for the reply. I'm hoping not to have to do that, bodyshops and the business practices they use are not of my liking. the sooner I can get out of any shop the better

Looking for black paint that goes from the drip channel to where it meets the tail light panel. And also where it meets the trunk to engine firewall. That is also supposed to be black. Thx

thanks Nino. It looks as if it is a little different. the black in the channel should be half way up the side meeting the body color, so in turn I am looking to see how it terminates closest to the rear of the car. Ciminna!!

thx Sam. I could swear in the channels it goes up the sides half way. That's how mine was 16 yrs ago. I have seen other ones like this. But not any detailed photos. Does the black go up half way on the engine lid and front cover? In your second photo I see a line that was where the black used to be?
