Hello, I have a 308 GT4 in original condition, which wa built in 1976. The GT4 is completely untouched and still has first paint, original interior, carpet, tools and so on, but unfortunately the first owner has changed the "Dino 308 GT4" script to a "Ferrari" script. The old and original script came with the car, but it is broken in 3 parts. So I am trying to find an original "Dino 308 GT4" script. I know about available repros, but the ones I have seen differ in some details. Any hints where I can find a good used or NOS script for my 308GT4? Thank you, Mark
I bought a superformance script on my 75 Gt4. The holes in the trunk were completely different to the pins on the Superformance replacement so I stuck with the original.
Black Barts Emporium is the place to look. Re: mounting pins...Shave them and use the Emblem Adhesive sheet material from 3M
I recently replaced mine which was also broken in 3 places and badly pitted. I initially bought one from Superformance but it was not correct, it had bevelled edges instead of square edges. I didn't get as far as checking the pin placing. Superformance refunded me with no problem. I subsequently bought one from Maranello Classic Parts. Luckily they are only a few miles from me so I was able to check it before buying. As far as I can make out it is identical to the original, including the pin placing. If I remember correctly the pin threads were a different size so I had to source new nuts (they weren't included). AFAIR the cost was about $130 plus local sales tax (not applicable for export).

This is my original script. No pitting, but broken twice. I tried ebay, but did not find the correct one. I noticed that the "4" differs in the details quite often. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Mine too was broken in 2 parts , i repaired it with vetroresina from the back and then fixed to the bonnet with silicone. Hope it helps. Ciao
Get the chrome removed. Solder the parts together with silver. Grind and polish. Get it rechromed and you have your original sign ready for installation on the car! Best Peter
Better late than never. Images of my replacement logo from Maranello Classics (only difference I can see is that on my original there is some serration in the joining bit between the O and G and between 3 - 0 - 8, whereas my new one is smooth But that is very minor. Hope the pics are self explanatory. I am showing the new one and the bits of the old one with a close up of the pitting. First and last pics are the new logo. Yes - and will cost as much if not more than a new one. I am going to mount my old one in a frame with a"designo bertone" badge and a chrome Cavallino Rampante badge I have lying around, all on a Dino Blu Metalizatta backgound to match my car, and will hang it on the wall in my office
Thank you for posting the pics is the replacement script. But the "4" looks different and the joining between 8 - G is different (besides the serration). I know these are details, but I would like to have it correct, if possible. Maybe I will try to get my original script fixed.

Warning about Replating. I made the mistake of sending mine out to' PAUL'S Chrome Plating' and they broke it and tried to fix it by plating the low space solid. I sent it back to be corrected but they only made a small moderation and returned it. They would not give money back. When you send anything to them there is a lengthy disclaimer which you have to agree to before they start. That should have been a warning. Plating was also heavy and uneven. Neither. The one on the brown background is closer. It's nearly there but the angle of the bit connecting the 0 with the 3 is not exactly right. The 308 is not high enough. The upper part of the t and the 4 are too short. The blue one is awful. The dot on the is completely wrong
That's oem painted inside the letters? I bought a nos one back in 2001 or 2002 and its not like that. it came in a plastic bag that said ricambi Ferrari with the emblem on the bag. Continental Ferrari got it for me
If someone wants to send me a emblem that isn't abused, I will make some for everyone. Obviously, I am doing this so I can get one that's correct but I already know it's only cost effective if I make a bunch. Before I start taking orders I will need someone to commit to lending me their emblem.
