good afternoon, unfortunatly my 74 308 GT4 stopped charging. the control light stops after the engine runs. Any thoughts where I should start searching for the problem? belt turms free and easy. Car has been restored (by seller)... many thanks in advance, Thomas
The ignition light should go out when the engine is running, if it doesn't you alternator is probably broken.
yes, my thought was that the alternator is not broken, so even more - what is? Any cable (but without any other issue?)
I would check the alternator output first. The main cable goes from the battery to the starter then over to the alternator. The charge light cable joins by the starter from the back of the alternator.

It is probably not as meant if the light in the left door is on even if the door is closed, and the one in the right does not light - even if the door is open ....
