I am looking for pictures of these two models. Also I was wondering, the Serie Fiorano were only spiders, but were they only 355 F1 or F355 or both? Also, does anyone know how many Competizione were made?

I thought it was like 101 fioranos, with 12 or 15 being manuals. I look at a yellow/black manual at Foreign Cars Italia before I acquired my current GTS. The carbon shift knob was pretty cool :)

In the US the 101 Fiorano's were only spiders but in europe we could get the same package on any 355... Not sure how many were sold with this package though...

O.K., this is from memory, so don't bust my balls if I'm wrong on some things. Only one F355 Competizione was made, the serial number is unknown. It first shown at the 1994 (1995 model year) Paris auto show. It was Ferraris first use of the F1 transmission in a non-Formula One car, and it was approximately 200 pounds lighter than the F355 Challenge version.

I could be way wrong here but I suspect the Competizione is sitting on the engine factory floor as a display. When I did my factory tour, they had a 355 sitting on the floor that at first glance looked like a Challenge car until you looked at the wheels and noticed the center lock wheels and a few other little tidbits. The guide didn't know much about that particular car but it was the only car I've seen with that wheel set up. Since it was still at the factory it's seems logical that it could be the one true Competizione. Anyone know for sure?

104 total made. 100 for North American market; 10 of those were 6-speed manuals.
