Hi, I would like to reintroduce myself to the forum. Since my previous post (see below) has been completely hijacked by FERRARICHAT veterans (some of whom have been banned temporarily), I will readdress the issues.

    1. The cam timing has been set up to the factory marks (which previously fully lined up with the old belts as well).
2.I now have an extra $4000 dollars left over that I didn't spend on the belt job tax to mod the car.

I would like to opinions on exhaust systems if possible.

I have gutted cats and bypass tied open (yes I have my flame suit on)

I would like some more sport sound but do not care for the drone. Has anyone used the TOP PRO 1 exhaust on ebay?

Thank you all in advance for your help.

    -AMG55.

P.S. Thanks to the publicity from the previous thread my mechanic has now booked another "ENGINE IN BELT JOB" this week. He says thank you. If anyone else wants it done (belts and tensioners) he will honor the price that I paid.

IMO very High quality and perfect fitment.

I have a Capristo stage 2. Soundlevel not that bad with these and far better throttle respons than with the one dead cat :)

Thanks for the responses and yes I have heard of the engine in job being done by dealers too even worse when they charge for an engine out book time and do it that way lmao

I thought a hole was needed in order to get access to crank pulley? I can't imagine Ferrari dealerships doing that sort of damage to a car?

Never done mine that way so someone with exp feel free to correct me however from what I was told by the euro guys who have been doing it for almost 10 years since I found out, the fuel tank gets removed. When they do it the second time a lot of them made up some brackets so that the next time the tank can be removed way quicker. I forget the name of the company but they are well know and as far as I could gather well respected in Europe. Same company fixes the exhausts by welding them.

Go and do your own search. You have been around here long enough to know how the search works and to have heard and read the story's. Unless you have lived on another planet, you know that the fires can be caused by the fuel lines unions that are cross threaded or crack during re assembly, and also clips that are replaced wrong and rub through the fuel pipes. Engine fires can happen after both methods, be it engine in or engine out.
    So stop being silly.

Few threads about 355 engine fires, let alone linked to post service. Certainly more concerning would be the now 20 year old plastic connectors which need to be disconnected during tank removal. As for cross threading or bad o-ring install, a shop would 1) likely not do it wrong, but I agree mistakes CAN happen, or 2) during the test fire up notice the leak or during the final check over for delivery. A faulty quick connector on the tank however may only show up after a fuel refill and therefore be overlooked at time of service.

Funny that because even the original person I was talking to (Angelis), knew exactly what I was talking about.
There are threads on FC that talk about cars that have set on fire because of badly fitted hoses after an engine out. Also other threads saying that there is a potentual for fire due to incorrect fitting of clips and unions. Including comments about this from rifeldriver.
So now your trying to say this is not true? Is that correct? Thrre would have been many people reading this that have read the same over the years. But as usual on these threads they will just watch and not get involved
