    Hi guys,

My first post. Well, whilst at the nurburgring with my friends last weekend I took a 45 minute drive out to Bonn, the old capital of west Germany when divided. I had been looking at 355's since um let's see, when I was 14. Lol. I never forget the first time I saw a picture of the 355 in 94 and it became my dream car. Posters on walls and everything. When I was 21 my parents bought me a ferrari driving experience. I got to drive a 348 and a 355. The allure of the 348 soon wore off when I kept catching a tooth trying to shift that dogleg box from 1st to 2nd at speed. That said it warmed me up nicely for what was to come. It was a red manual 96 berlinetta with black leather. As I approached the car everything around me seemed to stop and I was captivated by its beauty. As I slipped inside the drivers seat I was mesmerised by the gleaming chrome shifter and everything the instructor said just glazed over me. As I cranked the car into life I set off for what turned out to be a sure bet that one day I just had to own one of these cars. The lasting memory of the chiming gate as I slammed home second and third gear kept me going all these years.
So not to bore you all any way, 12 years on and I finally done it. I'm going back to pick the car up next month and trailer it home. Spent most of its life living in Monaco but now she's coming home with me to the uk. Just so unbelievably excited. Hope to get to know some of you on here for help and tips with the car.

    Nice car.
Why don't you drive her home.
With a detour to the Nürburgring?

No need to slam home anything.
It's a precision gear linkage and wonderful transmission.
    Be firm but light.

The syncros if changing gear at around the correct rpm's will suck the gear into place
    Double declutch when changing down.

    Take it easy.

    355 existed in 1994? I thought it was 1995.

Yeah, I've owned 7 mk1 golfs over the years. Many show cars.

Re the gear change guys it was a figure of speech. Was just trying to give a little feeling to the description.

Got some work to do on the car before it goes any where but looking forward to getting it back.

Will post up some pictures when work commences back in the uk

    Thanks guys

Yes, they were built and existed in 94 and I'm sure there were plenty of pictures and marketing going on for him to see. A person will be able to buy all the 2015 line up of cars this year right. So they are 15s but exist in 14. And we have pictures of what's coming out, so they exist even if they are not available.

Also in Europe they do not do the model year thing like the US. From what I understand the year the car was built is the year the car is titled as so there are actually 94 F355s over there.
