Looking forward to a 4 day weekend with the berlinetta. I've got a little work in LA and am also meeting up with Henry, Grant, and Rick for a day of photos of four F355's. Two of them winners of the photo contest decided at Christmas. Stay tuned and tag along... Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Have a great trip! If you happen to be in the San Fernando Valley area Sunday morning, check out Supercar Sunday (6100 Topanga Canyon Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91367). It's worth getting up for.
Had a wonderful day with the guys in Indio today. Nearly lost Robb a few times on the twisties while he was hanging out of my car window with his camera. But in the end he got some incredible shots. I met up with Rick in Hemet (see attached photo) and we drove over together, met at Grants (where they helped me change my oil and ruin my favorite Red Sox T-Shirt). Robb and his daughter arrived shortly thereafter and we headed for lunch. On the way to the photo shoot locations, we had some fun on the freeway showing off our aftermarket exhaust systems. Grant won hands down and scared the SH*T out of Robb and me at the same time. Great day with a bunch of great folks. Thanks for having me along. Can't wait to see the photos in a larger format. Absolute fantastic day. 4 hours of driving and photos with the 4 cars. Great owners. But we already knew that... 4 sets of keys on Rick's sparkling Rosso Corsa engine lid. That man can detail. You eat off his engine bay and the reflections in his paint were amazing. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Outside Grant's neighborhood in Indio with great colors in the flowers and cars... Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Please pardon the iPhone pics although some are very good. The "real" images made today with the 1dx are still in the can until I process them next week. I'll try to share some fun shots from the preview screen on the back of the camera... Any time you get a couple of the cars together, it draws a crowd. We had a gentleman in a Mercedes pull in to take a look and ask questions. We also had a Harley rider with handlebar mustache park for a closer look... And this was just getting started on the day. Lots more thumbs up and people wanting to know more anytime we would stop... Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Running at 85 mph all day - this is what we like to see. Cool air and ideal go-fast conditions - a happy temp gauge 3 hours in. Able to hit 20.88 mpg on my Berlinetta for the first tank. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well, seeing Grant's (Taz) car in Nero gets me excited looking forward to our challenge car arriving. It is VERY sharp in that color. The other thing I can attest to is an amazing SHOCK and AWE combo on his exhaust... When he puts his foot into that F1. Capristo Twin Hyper flows and Tubi Headers I thought my car was loud and exciting - which it is, with hyper flows and a tubi... BUT I could not stop myself from laughing out loud at how brutal and barking his combo is. Like a bear eating a dragon! Repeat after me. SHOCK and AWE I tell you. Like nothing I have ever heard short of a challenge car with straight pipes. I will try to get it on video Friday. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Miguel, Getting in after lunch Fri and have an architectural photo shoot on Santa Monica Blvd til late. Not sure what Saturday holds yet. But I will be back many times this spring! Hope you are well! Robb
I forgot to ask Henry what his valve caps were made of. Mine are just rubber... Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Rick's rear grill. I can see a challenge version in his future to go with his modular Speedlines. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
