I'm in two minds about this car: Ferrari 348 TS LHD 2 OWNER LOW MILES STUNNING For Sale (1994) on Car And Classic UK [C592091] Blue on red is a bit loud. But if any car can get away with it, an Italian sports car can! Do you think this is exotic and desirable? Or clashing and ugly?
I expected to have a strong emotional reaction to this. Turns out I have an apathetic reaction. I don't love this but I don't hate it either. I think it works, its not vulgar. Its not hideous. If you pulled up in this I wouldn't think poorly of you. But if I was speccing the car from new I think I'd have gone with a straight black interior.
The black dash cuts through the red enough to offset it. I think it's not bad at all. Wouldn't be my first choice though.
It's not as bad as I was bracing Myself for (although the red interior needs a bit of a contrast as there's a bit too much red), but it would have looked far classier with a cream interior.
Love the colour combo. Must be a late model "ts" being a 1994. Sure it's not a GTS with the mention of a wider track and updated suspension? Either way you have the option of acquiring a very rare 348 in that colour combination. go for it!
I like it! I've owned a Silver E46 M3 with Imola Red interior. It was the best interior on any car I've owned.
Blue Sera is a beautiful colour. I had a 1987 Mondial 3.2 in that colour with cream interior, 1 of only 4 right hand drive examples. The red interior really suits it, I think it looks great! All down to opinion but I would buy it. Easiest way to tell if it's a gts is to see the plenum chambers on the engine but there's no photo. Good luck Alex.
I have a 993TT in midnight blue over "flamenco red" interior. It works and I like it. Hard to know the true tone of the red in photos. If its a bright red like Rosso Corsa than I might not be into it. But, if its a darker tone, like a burgundy then I think it works. It does look good in the pics for whatever its worth
I had some larger photos sent to me and the car has a 348 tb badge on the back. Yes, a tb badge. Despite it being clearly a Targa. I'm waiting on a reply about the badge issue. I suspect it might well in fact be a GTS and am waiting on an engine photo to check the plenum. I notice that the radio cover is plain. The tb and ts has a little logo with the model name, on the radio cover. Does the plain radio cover indicate that it's a GTS? Thanks.
I have only ever seen the logo on US cars. My 93 is plain. The original service book will confirm year of registration.
Then again, I now notice that the upper door cards have the straked design, while a GTS would have the plain design, so it seems to be a late model ts and not a GTS. I'll let you know when I see the plenum!
I dig it. If you think there is too much red, change the seats to black and it will balance out nicely.
