Clutch doesn't require trans removal. And what about the headers??? Major services, fine. But just what is being serviced?

I'm interested in seeing the color change. We don't normally see owners painting their red Ferrari's a different color. Normally it is the other way around.

Well, yea. That's why I'm asking. :) Also in one of the other threads, trans and front cover have been removed. Replacing cam drive bearing? An what's up with the trans on that one. Pictures aren't telling the story. A few editorial comments would ne helpful if following the thread.

indeed they are Tubi or Seca headers.

I was thinking the same Robb! It could have been resprayed resale red in the past and now returning to the factory colour? Following either way! Love these threads Bradan.

The heat shield seaming looks different than my Tubistyle headers that I had installed in 2007, maybe a newer version on maybe not Tubi. I just went into the garage to double check.

Heat shield looks identical to mine, it was just the seam that connects the heat shield that did not look identical to mine and those you posted, I agree that they are probably Tubi.

I noted were doing misc mechanical repairs along with the major service, but I will try to add in editorial along with the photos.

But regardless on every single major service we do the following which isn't considering standard but saves both parties allot of time overall.

-Header removed inspected for crack, engine block cleaned while headers off
-Front timing drive bearings removed to inspect lower timing drive bearings for leaks
-camshafts removed and all valve lifters checked
-Clutch removed and inspected along with TOB
    -valve covers stripped and repainted

Allot of these cars are long paid for and owners want to just breath some new life into them. I'm seeing allot of gray/silver metallics color changes this year out of the 6 colors changes 4 started as red.
