This dude has no idea what he is talking about.... "F1 is jerky, blah blah blah" - apparently he never drove one like mine that shifts like a dream... My favorite You Tube comment posted by someone: "Doug the kinda guy who sucks his own penis"
Something I have noted living in Europe; in the U.S. everyone (including Doug) talks valve guides, yet over here it rarely gets a mention. Perhaps I have missed a huge post and will get my ass kicked to kingdom come, but could it be possibly fuel related? I can't think of another variable unless the cars were tuned differently stateside. Thoughts?
I stopped watching after like the 10th inaccurate and judgmental statement. Not a fan of F1, but he describes it completely inaccurately. Doesn't like the Spider or the GTS, his personal taste but he misses the point that most ppl want the GTS primarily. Things only get worse. Classic ignorant rehash by non-owner.
Why is this guy becoming so popular? He is A. Not Funny (Although he's constantly trying to be) B. Annoying as hell C. Is usually very far off on assessing ownership experience of vehicles.
He missed the part about how funny the carpet feels .......when you lick it with your tongue Thank God he forgot the sticky parts, that would have made the suffering 5 minutes longer.
His reviews are terrible but they appeal to kids I guess. He also has the most punchable face on YouTube by a large margin.
he completely forgot to mention the 355 takes most of its looks from the 348 but instead compared it to the "wedged" looks of the 80s and "rounded" look of the 2000s!
Speaking of this, I'm actually amazed that Ferrari pulled off the 355's looks...considering it was based on a previous design and basically they just changed the bumpers and the door intakes. It looks pretty put together. But yeah...I'm not sure what's up with DeMuro...........he lays on the dorkiness wayyyy too thick...
The door handles are so well hidden that Ferrari Challenge rules required the locations of the door handles be marked so that rescue squads could gain entry to the cockpit... . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Spent way too much time in wonderment of the leather trim (Italian exotic trimmed in leather, who'da thought?), and ignored the "sticky" elephant in the room, which I'm sure he would have ragged on ad nauseum.
So Agree, I never thought I would even like the replacement of the 348!..I had a 328 then and never liked the 348 and am still amazed that they could take that basic design and make it attractive to me
DeMuro was by far the best Jalopnik writer before he left for Autotrader Oversteer, but his video reviews are VERY hit or miss. I'm getting really tired of the same old "lol unreliable Ferrari" **** from these youtube kids. I'm only in my late 20s and even I cringe at my generation's excuse for car reviews. Maybe I should start my own youtube channel. No videos about "10 things I HATE about x car" or "my x broke and THIS is the repair bill". Just serious, well informed reviews. There's probably a market for a legitimate car review on older exotics that talks real numbers and real expectations...
