    When i purchased the car 3 years ago it required a new glovebox strut. I replaced this and 6 months later it was back to it old tricks. Today i decided to buy and try a few different springs to use with the original strut.

    Result is a working strut which won't fail again

    3/8 x 1-3/4 century spring corp part c-672
