I would have bought and flipped the hell out of that. What about a F355 spider 6spd for 45K with 40K miles also in your favorite color (Verde Silverstone)? I missed that one too.

OMG someone needs to rescue it.

Anyone who says they are selling his Ferrari because he hates parking his Tacoma outside needs his head examined.

Temptations!!! I don't believe in flipping Ferraris but this could be a good one. Just have to place with a good home.

LOL. There's a bit more to it than that, and it's quite a story.

Don't hate on me. I had been a steward of a nice 348 for 6 years prior to this one. My wife says I need mental help, but that is another story.

For the selling price I don't think a buyer could go wrong. There are a few other small issues that I am aware of, and if the repairs are as I suspect, the total in price with everything done would be around $38-40k with a major service included (the major service would be at a mechanic's, not DIY).

I'm still finishing building my cabin, so I don't really have time for this. My Tacoma needs its parking space back though.

Nice to meet Steve last night. He is the right type of person to buy this (local, likes to repair / rebuild things). I offered him a special 'brotherhood' discount below the asking price.

    :)

Overall, it looks nice in pictures. I'd be wary of this "the clutch on this one is making some weird noises." I'd be concerned that the gearbox is the real culprit. It's still priced well to allow for what probably needs to be done. What is this thing I circled? After market alarm horn?

Looks like an aftermarket alarm horn.

Depending on the PPI results this might not be such a good deal. If the clutch is the real problem and not something else, then sure. However, I'm not sure the 348s listed at 45-50k are selling so I'm guessing they can be had for low 40s.

Interesting that you appear to be choosing to keep the S2000 instead of the Ferrari. Or is that the wife's car?

major service I assume you mean engine out service..?

so that means youre estimating ~$3000 for and engine out..?
sorry highly unlikely.. and any shop quoting in this range I wouldn't even go to..
getting in way over their head and car ends up in parts for months..

I have had the S2000 since selling my Ginetta back in 2011 or so. Sold my previous 348 in 2009. My wife gets ill when she rides with me in the mountains, even when I am driving her Camry. There is no doubt that the Ferrari is more special, but the S2000 can be beat to death without worry, and I prefer that style of driving. When a friend went all out following me in his 355, the guardrail kept him in line. Not so fun.

Dude, you have no knowledge of the sales price. I'm pretty good at math, and basic addition and subtraction is well within my grasp. Also, I have a fair amount of knowledge of the brand and involvement with this site. I am not a newbie here, and have offered the car for a good deal to the buyer.

    :)

Glad to see the owner weigh in, really takes a lot of the mystery away. Actually in Canton area right now but probably wont have time to stop and see it.

Euro and Canadian cars don't have the mousetrap seatbelts either....and at this point, one can easily buy one of those.

So, apparently wrong. People like this are the main reason I left the brand, and this site. I'm guessing the owner is able to enjoy driving the car now, and has spent maybe $300-500 in repairs. I'm out.

Yep. People like to whine and make things a bigger deal than they are. Well done to the new owner for a nice little fix. He got a great deal.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. between the helpful nature of the forum, google search, nothing feels over my head.

I've already gone for a drive. 40 miles so far as I increase the length of the drive each time. runs strong, feels great, no weird noises. the 2" steering spacer kicks ass. it feels very 1989. I LOVE the way it smells. I'm chasing a door lock gremlin, but i'm down to it being only a couple things, and its definitley the drivers side.

You get the squawkers an the trolls on every forum...
