They aren't F40 seats, but they are lovel and I think they were specific to the 348 SS models |

Horsepower is 312 for US car. But factory estimates are just that. Mine does 300 at the hubs with modifications. Jeff's (darkiangel) Spider (same engine) posted about 284 for a stock and fairly fresh 312 HP rated engine.
The seats resemble the F40 shells, but with leather. The F40 has heavy weave fabric and Challenge-style design. People call them F40 seats, but you are correct, they really are not. |

Yeah, that's what I remember when I got my car. Whatever the material, it is a cold process and not the pressure cooked carbon fiber they make suspension pieces from.

My wife and I both thought the seats were comfortable on our NY to LA drive last year..
On a side note.. My Series Speciale (No.56/100) that had the Challenge kit installed will be up for grabs in the next couple of weeks. |

348 ss seats
Im the lucky owner of a 348 competizione. That model was born with F40 seats, and they are not very comf. More than 2 hours.... it gets painfull.

A change in lifestyle means a brief hiatus from Ferrari ownership. We will definitely miss the 348 but driving a Ferrari 9,000 miles in a year makes up for the short time having owned it.

Great looking SS. I sold mine 2.5 years ago for $50K to an FChatter. He loves the car and we still talk all the time. I believe he is in VA, so maybe you guys will cross paths.
