When I asked Paul Hill of Hill Engineering about doing an adapter for fitting the 5x114.3 mm late wheels to our 5x108 mm hubs, he said it would be easy to do, but he would not guarantee it would not break. Too little metal on the outside of the adapter once the larger wheel bolt circle was drilled and the hardened insert fitted. So not a good idea, especially since the more attractive forged wheels on the 458 were introduced on the 16M with the correct bolt pattern and those can be purchased.

Not a fan of black wheels on red cars, so this does not work for me.

The adapter has to be at least 25 mm thick to allow the wheel bolts to fasten. Combine that with the 1/2" wider rear wheels, and they stick out further, even with the helpful 15 mm difference in offsets. Strange looking wheel bolts, too.

Why does everyone do their rims in black? I can barely see that they even ARE 458 rims. So what then is the point of even putting them on right?

That being said looks a little too "full" in the wheel well.

Because we love the look of black rims.
I've painted my 360 wheels already over 5 years ago and still love that look.
Guess it's all a matter of taste.

We europeans for example can hardly understand why someone would choose a non-black interior ;)

It is a matter of taste and very few are ambivalent about black wheels. You either love them of hate them. Put me in the latter category.

Those 20" wheels also make the 330 mm rotors look like they came off a go kart.

That's cause you don't routinely get sun-baked 100F/38C plus interior temps in northern Europe. :)

Like the others, I wonder how those wheels would look in silver.

It would be interesting to see with a silver wheel and the correct diameter size tires all around.

Standard 430 wheels look pretty good on a 360 IMO.
