    Hello Fchatters:

We are refinishing some 360 F1 parts. We will post some updates here but for now attached are a few teasers ;)

Here are a set of F1 paddles that have been refinished to factory correct standards with the "UP" and "DOWN" in white via our laser etch process .......................

Also, a completed vent ring is shown with similar laser graphics.

Randy is doing a couple HVAC panels now and I'll let him post up the after photos later.

Thank you all for taking the time to review our work. Let us know if you want to discuss restoring your interior :)

    Hello Again,

And here are the window switches we just completed.

I continue to be impressed with the finish and, well, everything about this coating.

It even absorbs the laser very well, and yes different paints require completely different strategies at the laser for a successful result. Thank you for looking.

    Best Regards, Randy

Just for comparison, I know a lot of you DIY'ers are quite pleased with saving the money in your piggy bank & re-conditioning some of these parts yourself by just stripping off the sticky clear soft-touch coating.

However take a look at these pictures I just shot of some switch housings which have been only de-stickied. What you are left with is the painted plastic, which reflects a much more glossy sheen, and shows off imperfections which were previously masked by the clear soft-touch coating that also lowers the sheen to a matte finish.

Plus the base plastic is soft. It will not hold up to daily use without further marring. And what to do when you find out there are already scratches in the plastic, like we see in the photos below? Live with it? No. Just give us a call and we will make your day when you get back your parts from us - FULLY refinished.

    Thanks for looking.

A dumb question... but I'm new to the F-car world... If you do the sticky refinish... will it happen again, or did you fix the flaw from Ferrari?

Hello: not a dumb question at all.

The OEM used a soft touch coating which is what fails and becomes sticky. We fully strip that coating down to bare plastic / metal, prep the parts very well with much attention to detail and then respray with our durable, mar - resistant, hard touch coatings that will never get sticky again. Our coating are extremely durable and will last the life of your car unless abused.

Feel free to contact us if you wish to discuss more.

    Best regards,

    Dave

Great work Dave. I did notice something and you might already know this. The plastic pieces on a 430 are sticky but not to the point where black goo is left on your fingers like on the 355. But eventually... Buttons that get used quite often have a beat up look ... Like the window buttons. Just wanted to point out Ferrari has indeed improved their sticky finish over the years, but for buttons that get touched often, it is still not good enough.

    Hi Ken,

Good observation. The OEM used 2 types of soft touch. 1) the soft touch has the black color in it and that's why your fingers get black when it fails. 2) they used a clear soft touch over a semi gloss black paint. This option is mostly used on parts that have illuminated graphics such as the HVAC panel and window switches.

We don't just clean those parts - we fully refinish and laser etch. Randy posted a comparison above with "clean only" parts that are far too glossy after as the clear soft touch also lowers the sheen.

Some 360 Door handles. Fully disassembled, stripped to bare metal, multiple coats of different primers, white for graphics, mar-resistant black coating and finished off with laser etching for the graphics :)

    Thanks for looking

You guys hit a home run. My 360 fell victim to the sticky problem. I sent them off and they came back with stickers which I didnt like. Now my scuderia is starting to get a little sticky. I know just where to send my stuff
