    For my future purchase, I'm shopping around for insurance in Philadelphia area. Shooting for 2008 F430 F1, red, 12-15k miles, $125,000 price (my wishful thinking).
    My 20-year old Allstate agent said they will not insure this super car.
    Grundy.com gave me online quote of $1800/year, collision + comprehensive; $900 without collision.
    I'll keep everyone informed.
    Feel free to suggest other agencies.

    Depends on your locale, age, number of vehicles owned, etc... an actuary's dream.

    ..I'm with Allstate with full coverage at $1200 per annum.

    Sounds good. My Condon Skelly affiliate got me about the same, maybe $1750 for the same amount, giving me more room for appreciation from my purchase price. I have good collision and comprehensive. Just got my asking price (+14K appreciation) for the total on my old 348 after a distracted 19 year old girl hit me in May.

    Rules may have changed since then. He may be grandfathered in. Our neighbor is Allstate agent and isn't allowed to insure Ferrari's.

    ERIE has a good reputation. I am very happy with AMICA...not the cheapest but terrific service and never a hassle with a claim

    Allstate quoted me 1600/yr less than a month ago, not sure why others have issues unless it is the choice of the agent

    With all insurance companies there are a lot factors that you may not have considered - age, marital status, driving record, the companies physical damage results in a specific locality (a company might be willing to insure a Fcar in areas with low theft rates but not where theft rates are high), also willing to insure older Fcar not worth over a certain value (depending on their reinsurance attachment point). So you can easily compare quotes in this type forum as every individual has a completely different and non comparable set of circumstances.
    So shopping insurance companies in your local area from companies known to insure Fcars in your area is your only real way to make a comparison. Local FCA Club members can give you the names of companies willing to underwrite Fcars in your area.

    Erie's quote: $1,638. This is so far the lowest.
    Pros (vs. the other quotes): coverage limits are higher (uninsured $100,000 instead of $35,000 (Grundy.com)); road service included.
    Cons: deductible $500 instead of $100 (Grundy.com)

    And I guess you also have home and other cars insurance with them. Which is what I have with Allstate, but they are letting me down on the Ferrari.
